Crescent Moon Island - Entry

The Crescent Moon Islands are what was left of a cliff that was hit by a tsunami centuries ago. How it floats is quite a mystery, but people believe it to have been the positive and negative energy between the red and blue crystals that are found under the island's surface. The crystals are what makes the smaller islands orbit the main island.

The name of The islands came from the mountain's shape looking like the Crescent moon. Because the island floats up high, rain and sometimes ice in the winter, can settle ontop of it,and once there is enough, it then falls to make a tiny waterfall. Since the pool is shallow, some of it even streams right off the island.

This island is not as far off the main beach, but it is fairly high. Owls, Dragons and Gryphons are able to get there easily, but for land animals, they will have to be carried by a dragon or a gryphon.

The island is of a tropical/savanha/grassland biome, and is a home to few owls, dragons and gryphons. The ancient Trees provide space for the larger animals as they are 10 times larger than 'normal' trees. When carnivorous animals need their meat, they'd have to fly to the nearest mainland as there isn't much prey to find except lower species of birds.

The three islands that surround it have their own names. The one with the overgrown grass, is called Tropic island, because it occasionally gets rare flowers planting there. The one with the long, overhanging flowers is called Rockery island, as some of the plants are growing from the rocks itself. The one with the tall tree is called Nail top island, as it looks like a nail used in construction. The tree that grows on it is a subspecies of Sequoia tree, a tree that can grow to 50–85 metres.
